Resumen

La Yale Babilonian Collection contiene más de 12.000 tablillas de escritura cuneiforme de época de la III Dinastía Ur. A pesar de su formato fijo y de su naturaleza mayoritariamente administrativa y económica, muchas de estas tablillas constituyen un reto en la interpretación, ya que aportan nuevas palabras y construcciones gramaticales. A lo largo de dos volúmenes se presenta la catalogación y trascripción de los textos de estas tablillas que han sido fundamentales en la interpretación y reconstrucción de la actividad burocrática, administrativa y del modo de vida de la sociedad de esta época.

The Yale Babylonian Collection holds over 12,000 cuneiform tablets from the era of the 3rd Ur dynasty. Despite their fixed format and the fact that the majority deal with administrative and economic matters, many of these tablets represent an interpretative challenge, offering new vocabulary and grammatical constructions. These two volumes present the cataloguing and transcription of the text on the tablets, which has been fundamental in interpreting and reconstructing the way of life and the bureaucratic and administrative activity of the society of the epoch.
